"One Beer" was recorded for Madvillainy, but the artists decided it didn't fit the record, and the beat had already been taken for another project. Madlib tried to remix it, but the results were a little too drunk.
So we put the track out on this one-sided 45, given away free with the purchase of Madvillainy for a short time through a few of our closest retailers. We made about 1000 of them. The flip side contains an etching of the Jeff Jank's monkey & robot cartoon due Hookie & Baba who Doom shouts out on the Madvillain track "Bistro".
Doom later included the song to fill up his solo album MM FOOD (which we learned only when the album came out). Doom also created another remix himself utilizing a Madlib beat that was already used for a Percee P track.
