Apifera – Nitai Hershkovits, Yuvi Havkin, Yonatan Albalak and Amir Bresler – bring a melting pot of influences and experience to their second album Keep the Outside Open. When these musicians come together, the effect is like switching between radio stations: a dash of prog, a twist of post-rock, and a heavy dose of psychedelia, with the members’ shared background in jazz tying it all together. While Apifera’s debut Overstand was instrumental, on the new record the group adds lyrics, telling personal stories from everyday life and creating fantastical characters. The first 100 copies of the LP ship with a bonus 7" - "Theodor Marmalade" b/w "More Purple Than Ever".
