Benny Sings is back with a brand new song and video – “Castle”, signaling the start of an exciting new chapter.
For over twenty years, Benny has been crafting music with humor and heart. Over the course of his career, he has released several acclaimed albums and collaborated with an impressive roster of artists including Kenny Beats, Remi Wolf, Mac DeMarco, Tom Misch, Rex Orange County, The Free Nationals, GoldLink, and Cory Henry, building bridges across genres and continents.
“Castle” represents a new phase in Benny’s life. After decades of touring and recording, he has recently embraced a more grounded, family-focused lifestyle. “I’ve been totally immersed in family life lately,” Benny explains. “We bought a house, renovated it, and still are. The new music is all about that, my adult life as a real person. It sure is something. This first song ‘Castle’ celebrates our little house on the prairie. Blood, sweat, and tears, but we’re here, we’re home, at last.”
In the accompanying self-directed music video, Benny performs and dances through an abandoned house awaiting renovation, visualizing the joy and challenges of building a home and life from the ground up.
