“Wait for the Summer” is the latest song from Benny Sings as he pays homage to the dog days of summertime. Benny recorded the track during the same sessions as his new album Young Hearts, a collaboration with producer Kenny Beats.

Benny says: “I think the quest for safety is one of humanity’s largest quests. I think one of the answers for ‘what’s the meaning of life’ could be ‘the quest for safety’. It’s what makes you get food and it’s why you listen to music. It makes you feel a little more safe. So, I wanted to make a song that leans into that idea: come here, sit down, you’re safe.”
