Eddie Chacon‘s new documentary We Can’t Stop The Hands of Time is here. The film, directed by Brandon Bloom with Art Direction by Garrett Combes, dives into the creation of Eddie’s Stones Throw debut Sundown with collaborator John Carroll Kirby.

Throughout the documentary, Eddie details his career’s winding road, from stratospheric success as one half of the duo Charles & Eddie, whose hit “Would I Lie To You” topped charts around the world, to his over two decades away from the music industry. “We do live in a culture that really worships youth and it feels very much like a young man’s game,” Eddie says. “But I started to feel stronger feelings that there really was a place for me in the music business to operate within my own narrow lane just being authentic and true to myself.”

“I remember thinking when we started Sundown, don’t play significance on this. The only thing you want to do really, is just get out of your own way,” Eddie continues. “I’ve tried to avoid being overly clever or overly ambitious, but just sort of believed that if you just do the work, good things will follow.”
