Egyptian Lover’s anthology is out now: 4/LP box set, 2/CD, and digital. Mr. Lover takes off for Asia later this month, and plays live in London in June.

Here’s a new video for “I Cry (Night After Night)” recorded in 1984, from the album On the Nile. The video was directed by Zev Deans.

“The song ‘I Cry (Night After Night)’ was really different from the other music I’ve made,” Egyptian Lover told The Fader … “It was inspired by one of my father’s Dean Martin records, ‘The Middle of the Night is my Cryin’ Time’ I loved how Dino could be soft but such a ladies’ man. I wanted to be him.”
