Join us in Austin, Texas for The J Dilla Effect: Breaking Barriers Through Beats on Thursday, March 16th.
Stones Throw founder Peanut Butter Wolf will be joined by J Dilla’s mother Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, J. Rocc, DJ Jazzy Jeff and moderator and Fusicology founder Asya Shein to honor Dilla’s legacy and share stories about his life. The conversation, curated by Save The Music, collaborators of the J Dilla Music Tech Grant and Ma Dukes, also aims to explore how to properly carry on Dilla’s legacy “by investing in culturally rich communities, providing equitable resources for young creators to achieve economic stability and success through music and technology.”
