Silas Short – L-TRAIN

Earlier this year, Silas Short returned with his first taste of new music since 2021 with “ILIKEU”. Today, the Milwaukee-born, Chicago-made, and L.A. based artist is back with “L-TRAIN”, an homage to his time developing his sound in the Windy City.

Listen: Silas Short – “L-TRAIN”

“L-TRAIN” marks the first time that Silas is both rapping and singing over his own music. The video was shot run-and-gun in a single day throughout Chicago, and was directed by both Silas and collaborator Jackie Radinsky – it’s an ode to people-watching on public transport.

Silas says: “During my years in Chicago working and depending on public transport, I would constantly observe and people watch, which inspired the inquisitive nature of this song as the lyrics lay over many possible perspectives of the people taking the train. I felt compelled to even relate it to myself and my relationship with following my dreams, and how others may have a relationship with theirs in such a vulnerable yet harsh environment.”

Look out for more new music from Silas Short coming soon.
