Mndsgn aka Ringgo Ancheta shares a new track “SIXUNDRGROUND”, a cover of the iconic 90’s trip-hop song “6 Underground” by Sneaker Pimps – just in time for his Asia and Austrlia tour with labelmate Knxwledge.
“The original was a definitive soundtrack of the 90s for me, a timeless anthem (or angst-them if you will) for the unseen and misunderstood,” says Mndsgn. “I first heard it in the movie Can’t Hardly Wait during a character’s entrance scene. It’s still a beautiful mystery how a perfectly synced moment in cinema can eternalize a song the way this did, despite how silly the context was. Needless to say, I did this cover for myself and didn’t initially intend to share it but maybe others who also have an appreciation for this lost era will dig it. They really need to have this song on every karaoke system worldwide.”
Mndsgn is set to co-headline a tour with Pachyman in the US later this year, too.
