Lionmilk – Only One

Lionmilk releases “only one” from his upcoming album WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM, out May 30th. The new song is “an ode to all who love and want to be loved”. The accompanying music video by Flatspot plays on the idea of split emotions, following Lionmilk through Los Angeles as he represents a different character for each instrument he used on the new song.

“only one” and WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM are about processing heartbreak through a mix of humor and introspection. Lionmilk says, “I was trying to open my heart but was finding that to be incredibly difficult. Turns out it was just not it.”

Lionmilk wrote WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM to heal. He’d lost a friend, ended a relationship, and was isolated after the pandemic. WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM illuminates a path to the other side. Though it’s born from heartbreak and tragedy, its optimism and joy echo Lionmilk’s belief that “Making music is the greatest blessing there is.”

Lionmilk is touring with Rahill in May:
May 6 @ Zebulon in Los Angeles, CA
May 8 @ Swedish American Hall in San Francisco, CA
May 10 @ Baba Yaga in Seattle, WA
May 11 @ Show Bar in Portland, OR
