DJ Harrison‘s new album Shades of Yesterday released back in February. It’s a covers record that pays homage to his musical heroes and represents some of his most treasured childhood memories with new takes on songs originally by The Ohio Players, Vince Guaraldi, Syntaxe, Donald Fagen and more.
DJ joined us at Stones Throw Studios in Los Angeles for a special performance of “L’Anthropofemme” directed by Ross Harris. He was joined by some friends on background vocals, too.

DJ also sat down with Koreatown Oddity to talk about the record’s many inspirations, the process of recording vocals and his time spent creating the project in his home studio Jellowstone in Richmond, Virginia.
