This one goes out to all of you without a lover this Valentine’s Day. “Love Song for No One” is the debut release by our latest signing Bardo. You may know him as the lead vocalist and songwriter for Chicano Batman. Now Bardo Martinez is working on his new solo project set to release later this year.

On “Love Song for No One,” and as a solo artist, Bardo contains multitudes: a shy crooner who’s unafraid to play the role of sequinned rockstar; a lovelorn cynic and hopeless romantic. Released for Valentine’s Day, “Love Song for No One” is both the definition of a love song and its opposite, expressing a yearning heart with no object of affection.
The track is “about someone who is lonely who yearns for someone else, physically and emotionally,” Bardo says. “I’m playing with words: ‘no one’ and ‘nobody’. I wrote this love song for no body but yours.” The music video was directed by Eric Coleman.
