We send our condolences to the entire Yancey family, as J Dilla's father Beverly Dewitt Yancey has passed away in Detroit. Maureen Yancey aka Ma Dukes released this message:
Good morning friends! I would like to thank all of you for your unwavering support Last evening Mr. Yancey made his transition to glory. I'm very grateful for the strength of the family as it has been, the very rough side of the mountain for us. We truly have just begun to heal from my sons passing in 2006. I trust in God and know he will see us through. -Ma Dukes
