“Solo Tú” is inspired by classic Spanish love songs, and is the first Spanish-language track to be released by Los Retros.

“I wanted to make a Romantica that sounded like it could have been on one of my father’s CDs from the swapmeet.”
“Solo Tú is a message to my wife about how she is the only one I long for, regardless of the circumstances. The instrumental itself was heavily inspired by many bands who made Romanticas in the 70’s. I wanted to make a Romantica that sounded like it could have been on one of my father’s CDs from the swapmeet.” – Mauri Tapia, Los Retros
The video features Los Retros traveling through open landscapes on several modes of transportation, delivering a heartfelt performance. Ross Harris says: “Mauri landed that skate trick on the first try. We bought the inflatable backpack kayak just so Mauri could stand in that exact spot in the river. Mauri called me and asked if he needed to wear the same outfit for the entire video. I told him no. He pulled up 15 minutes later in a medieval tunic and a Samurai topknot.”
Los Retros released Looking Back in 2021. Mauri and his band will tour this year with Chicano Batman:
