DJ Harrison has many fond memories of holidays spent with loved ones in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Every Thanksgiving, he and his family would gather around the TV for A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special, made up of classic Peanuts animations and songs by Vince Guaraldi, including the track “Little Birdie”.
Harrison created his version of the song at his beloved home studio, Jellowstone, where he also recorded his two Stones Throw albums. “Lil Birdie” is the second cover by DJ Harrison out this year, which follows his rendition of “IGY” originally by Donald Fagen.
