We seem him cruising around the streets of east Los Angeles, sometimes even around the offices of Stones Throw Records, and we always wonder: "How does he find time to make all those beats and still leave the house?"
His name is Knxlwedge sometimes known as Knx and often pronounced "knowledge." He's from Philly and New Jersey, now in Los Angeles. He makes a lot of beats. Unsubstantiated rumors claim he employs an army of clones working around the clock on beats. A 53-track Anthology album (all beats) that came out on Leaving Records not long ago.
However he does it, he'll soon be doing it with Stones Throw. We're working on an album to be released later this year. Meanwhile, Knx has a T-shirt here at Stones Throw.
