Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Stones Throw and a handful of other indie labels – Jazzy Sport, Ninja Tune, Public Possession, DFA Records, and Ghostly – for RELEVANT PARTIES, a series of limited-edition T-shirts and sweatshirts.
BLACK T-SHIRT + WHITE T-SHIRT + GREY SWEATSHIRT
Each design was created in collaboration with its respective record label, and has been applied across a series of jersey-based garments. In addition, the release includes a cassette tape dedicated to the work of each label.
Peanut Butter Wolf has also created a mix released on cassette for the series. Sudan Archives has an accompanying mix on NTS.
Initially launched earlier this year as a podcast, RELEVANT PARTIES is part love-letter, part deep-dive, exploring the idiosyncratic worlds of some of Carhartt WIP’s favorite labels. Hosted by UK music journalist Chal Ravens, each episode speaks to the people behind the music, known for their enduring idealism and singular vision, which has helped shape their respective imprints.
