Universal Robot Band was an underground disco group out of New York in the late 1970s by Patrick Adams and Greg Carmichael. They released a couple records and were quiet for a couple years before returning in '82 with the classic "Barely Breaking Even" a long boogie jam with a great vocal by LeRoy Burgess.
30 years later in 2012, "Barely Breaking Even" is still inspiring. Here's a new remix by Chrome Canyon.
