With Same Thing Tomorrow, Vex Ruffin offers more of his signature, minimal sound. This is a cassette-only release of ten new, understated tracks, culled from more than 300 songs Ruffin submitted to Stones Throw Records head Peanut Butter Wolf over the past year. These tracks mainly showcase the prolific Chino resident’s songwriting.

His bare-bones track “Take It” was recently featured on HBO’s Girls, and the feature film Lola Versus. With his raw live shows and catchy sound, Ruffin continues to attract new fans like Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, who called “I’m Creative” his “tune of the year.”
Vex has a couple 7-inch singles coming up next and a full length album in 2013.
