It was the first release by Dudley Perkins under his birth name. The song was (and still is) a favorite, and led to two stellar full-length albums, A Lil' Light and Expressions. “Flowers” and the two full-lengths are all produced by Madlib. The instrumental for Flowers was released only here on this 7-inch single.
