Here's some taken in Jamaica by Duppy Gun (Sun Araw & M Geddes Gengras) when they was there working on their latest 12-inch release Spy b/w Up Wit U Baby (just released, distributed by Stones Throw).
I Jahbar (Oneil Thomas) lives and works on his farm near Kingston where he cares for his family and fosters local talent. Lukani (Dave Smith) voiced track "Up Wit U Baby." Also pictured is Early One, from the first Duppy 12-inch, Multiply.
Duppy Gun is a production team and label founded in Portmore, Jamaica by musicians Sun Araw (Cameron Stallones) and M. Geddes Gengras, both from Los Angeles. Stallones & Gengras went to the island to record an album with roots-reggae chaplains The Congos, and soon began collaborating with the local music community centered around the fishing village of Forum.
