In under a year Aloe Blacc's “I Need a Dollar” has become the most covered record we're released. We've got acoustic covers, house remixes, rap versions, talent shows, kids in their bedrooms not old enough to work singing about the “boss man let me go,” and a whole lot of others we're not even going to touch. Each of these songs were done without the involvement of Aloe Blacc or Stones Throw, but it's been fun to watch. So far nothing from the heavy metal or country & western world, and we're also still waiting on the sitar version “I Need a Rupe”.
