1990s Polaroids

In the days before digital, I use to run around with a Polaroid camera whenever I could afford the film. Some of these pictures I'd take to use for some imaginary future project, whatever that may be. One of them turned out to be the cover for the Jukebox 45s compilation. A few of the other photos have now been compiled into a feature by Lodown Magazine on the digital version of their magazine, just released as a free iPad app. Below is a preview of the piece with Rodney, Wolf & Charizma. RODNEY KING LIVE ON TV, MAY 1, 1992. After two days of rioting in Los Angeles, Rodney King appeared in front of cameras asking, "can't we all get along?" Apparently we couldn't - rioting continued for another two days.

CHARIZMA, PEANUT BUTTER WOLF & RODNEY POLAROID, MAY, 1992. Days after the Rodney King speech, out at a club called Cafeteria where Peanut Butter Wolf was spinning. Charizma use to wear Polaroids around his neck on a leather shoe string. I took two of Rodney, gave one to him.
