Heliocentrics & Melvin Van Peebles
Photos by Egon Stones Throw September 04, 2008
Stones Throw & Now-Again GM Egon just returned from New York, where he spent some time with Melvin Van Peebles, aka director, playwright, third member of Quasimoto crew, and a French knight.
Mssr. Van Peebles had just finished a ten minute opus with the Heliocentrics to be released on their forthcoming "Sirius B" EP on Now-Again. Egon was there attempting to negotiate with the man and generally getting schooled. Don't mess with Sweetback.
Scroll down for pics back of the MVP suites up there in Hell's Kitchen NYC. Those master tapes you see? We've transferred 'em and Madlib is hard at work on Quasimoto Number Three.
More info on The Heliocentrics and Quas coming soon. Probably.
