of course this is gonna kick ass...johnny deep is one of my fav. actors...christian bale is fast becoming one of my favs...and it's a classic 1930's era gangsta film...we haven't seen one in years...i can't wait.

the movie was alright, kept me interested (2.5 hrs :O), which is more than i can say for the majority of films this year. the camera shots annoyed me for a while, but I got over it. depp did a great job as dillinger, and bale did well too. 7.5-8/10

yeah I saw the trailer and thought the film looked like shit. some directors know how to use video (David Fincher), and some do not (most others).
I have to remind myself that Michael Mann is really pretty average most of the time....this could have been classic too....oh well.

exactly. i'm not a fan of his. Ali was good, but he doesnt have any films i see twice. I barely remember "Heat" to be honest.

Michael Mann is one of the greatest Writers&directors of the last 30 years,from Thief,to Manhunter,Crime Story,Heat.The Insider,Collateral, he's a fuckin genius-the miami Vice film was weak,but compared to most other big hollywood directors efforts,it was gold
