Alright so these last episodes of True Detective were awesome. Too bad the season started as slowly as it did.

EPs 6-7 were fantastic. Really disliked the finale. Felt super rushed... And *SPOILER* how they died at the end was some BS, you really think two guys with that much life experience would make mistakes like that..? I mean Frank has been a gangster all his life, I find it hard to see him putting himself in that position... he wouldn't be that bone headed not to mention the dude who asked for the suit (out of no where!) was half his size so why'd he even want the fucking thing to begin with? Ohhh cause we need to kill Frank, right. Ray on the other hand was plausible, that is until you take in to consideration the money he had sitting in his car... Plus the fact he's a detective, he would know they'd be all over that school. I just couldn't see either of them going out the way they did given their character progression and stories thus far. As soon as Ray turned off the freeway I was like 'well... He's done...' To me it seemed like some weak ass excuses to kill them off for dramatical effect when essential neither of them had any real reason to go.

So yeah. Not a fan of the final. But 6-7 were some good watching.

that finale was some bullllllshit. I stand by my earlier judgements. no good twists, turns, mysteries, answers or even writing the entire damn season. the best part was the cliffhanger birdman into the elvis dream. it should have been a lot weirder like that.

guys, i just got caught up with all of Breaking Bad -- spent days in a row just in a catatonic state in front of my TV watching episode after episode...

those fucking writers are impeccably talented.

i can't believe the places that show went now that i've seen it all from start to finish.

they are truly deserving of the accolades they receive; i mean, i don't think i'd be able to write my characters out of half of the situations they put Walter White in pretty much every episode.

the ingeniousness of their creative problem-solving took almost as much work on their end as actually becoming drug kingpins

If breaking bads pacing is anything to go by then I'm guessing season 2 of better call Saul will be awesome.

I wish I could erase my memory of the wire from my brain so I could watch it all for the first time again :(

I haven't seen the wire............
Hella excited for better call Saul though.
Still liked true detective, standing by it! I did think a decent bit of the writing was douchey AF but then again I thought so in season one too. Anyway thank god for Rick and Morty and key and peele right now

I haven't seen the wire............

Sin. Favorite of all time. I also have a friend studying film and his teacher told the students that if they ever need the pinnacle of film case studies, watch the wire. Everything from atmosphere, soundtrack, screenplay, cinematography and pacing... The first season is pretty character buildy, some people won't stick it out. But once it gets going........ damn........

Yeah Netflix is killing it. Them and HBO are the only ones keeping it real these days
