the first thing that popped into my head for some reason when I hit play on "Lying in the Sun" was Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Weird. Anyway, the track sounds pretty nice, I'm pretty excited about the full release. Not so sure I like the massive reverb on the vocals, like some early MMJ or something. I'll have to listen more before I decide...anyway buried/reverbed vocals like that are usually that way cuz they sound shite on the top of the mix.

yeah.

oh...am I supposed to like 101 Guitars? I picked one of those 12"s on one of my very first digs a looooong time ago and thought it was wack. Did I miss something? anyway...sorry for being negative, this looks like a very dope project. Props to Stones Throw and Koushik!

Damn... ST sent you the disc already? That's dope, but I wish they would've said they're shipping them out a couple of week early because I definitely would've pre-ordered from here instead of waiting til the 30th and going to the store. I absolutely love this album, and cannot get enough of Koushik's music.

I agree that the album should've released early in the summer, I'm just glad we got the digital for August.

WOW i had heard some of his track before and i naturally thought this one was complete shit

BUT for some reason i just checked out the new album and the shit is dope ! damn

well actually some of the track sound too much like they´d be made under heavy influence of drugs or some mental shit but the rest of em track are VERY nice

..and this is my first post in this sub-section of STMB too... ;)

Was just thinking about this record the other day. Hate to use the term, but Koushik was doing "chill wave" way before other artists…reverb-y vocals over sample-based beats. Still very dope.

This is not at all accurate. Love the record though.
