Anybody got an MP3 of the siren that Dilla made famous? Just the isolated siren.

Thought I'd ask...

If this is against forum rules delete me.

the siren that Dilla made famous

wha wha what?? pretty sure it was his genius that made him "famous," not the siren. i realize i might be acting a bit dickish here... i'm pretty sure any ol siren will do, sounds like a stock siren sound to me...

I'm pretty sure it's a sample but which record it came out on doesn't come to mind.

I'm willing to bet money that it's from an old sound f/x record.

Remember Funk Flex's bomb explosion on Hot97? I found that shit on an old military sound f/x record.

Preach on em' Shakey....I LOVE Dilla, but they aren't Dilla sirens. However, I think Chevy was just trying to identify the sound and Dilla Siren mos def accomplishes that.

As for Chevy's question, I don't know. Just dig and you'll find em' fo sho...

Hahah sorry y'all.

I know that Dilla didn't invent the siren, and the siren didn't "make Dilla famous"...

I was just looking for the sample and I figured it was a good point of reference, everyone in here should know about the siren Dilla used so there you go. Tnanks for the help btw.

I think somebody over at the Soul Strut forum revealed the source in the Erykah Badu thread. According to that guy it's a Mantronix sample. I'm out.

are they not the same sirens as the ones at the beginning of the Telephone song on the new Badu? You should be able to crop it off the song
