BATTLE DONT BITCH...

FAKE PRODUCERS.mp3

nice with the synth-bassoon sound, but that synth-choir sound just brings me back to being 15 and playing warcraft, man... i.e. the turd shines through.

You may make the beat, but you have to agree that the sample does contribute a considerable amount. :D I hate this whole "I can make a beat out of anything" attitude some people have. Yeah, anyone can make a beat out of anything, but it doesn't mean it's gonna be good in the end. Why would you sample something that you know is shit? It may be your beat, but it's the other person's music that is basically shaping it.

it depends what you're using. if you only have a 303 and can't add any other sounds to it, it's probably not gonna sound dope. but you can take the wackest record ever and make something nice out of it with the right bass and drums. the records only really matter if you're mainly doing straight loops. i like using the sound of old records as a tool even if the music is bad. i can't guarantee a good beat from a bad record but i enjoy the challenge

Nah, I know what you mean. But if I made a really dope sounding beat out of a U2 track, I don't think I'd be bragging about it.

100% cosign here...and I have to agree with one of them long name dudes that people do bitch too much about sample choice. a midi track is useless, though.

I haven't listened to any of this shit yet but I'm getting ready to throw something together....

battle on

MAN.
I LEAVE FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND COME BACK TO THIS?!?!?!

all i gotta say about the samples and such is, if you don't like the sample don't participate,
BUT don't come in here with the track your nephew played on ya keyboard and hit record by accident while you were sleeping either.

ALL IN ALL THOUGH. LET'S KEEP THIS SHIT FUN!
it hurts my heart when i see a bunch of talented cats arguing over something so trivial.
it's like watching Ric Flair & Hulk Hogan wrestle.
hurts my heart.
