The 1st one was supposed to be between DanSmith & I.

Ended up being JPhantom & I instead, with 00gen throwing his twist in.

I know 1st hand Subbass doesnt even need to try to make a stellar beat.

Fuck Compton, since you tend to make unpopular comments, why dont you show EVERYONE what you're about???

hmm, I'd really like to hear this.

WHO ELSE WANTS TO WITNESS THIS?

troll? Like MadTV's GapTroll???

No, I just dont understand what he's talking about most of the time, and if he's going to insult one of the most talented beatsmiths on this board (i.m.o.) then he should be prepared to back up his insults.

I think he forgot I used to instigate these 1on1s & even threw the 1st 2 with myself as a competitor.

(personally his stereotyping of my beloved asian women REEEEEALLY upset me...^_^)

Um...ok Subbass temporarily retired from beatmaking to make music videos...and Bronxie Tigga is not even worth patronizing because he is a racist piece of shit. We've tried to get him to put his mpc where his mouth is but it's never gonna happen cuz he is a little bitch.

Meanwhile the year old STMB beat battle is suffering from a lack of support...we had only 7 votes this last week. it sux for the beatmakers involved to see such little interest. straight up. not speaking for my entry, but there was some fire in the battles this week....

Just poppin in to say I'll be back in the beat battles starting this week.

Gonna be setting up the Art Gallery today, and I busted out about 2 hours worth of music videos for the show.

(TKurata...I got both of the ones you sent me...remind me later and I'll post a link for ya...)

Sorry to ditch the board for that amount of time...but I'm back as of tonight!

Peace.

:D huh?

What's there not to understand? Is there some complex twist in the scheme of things that I'm missing (don't really care if I am)? Bronx came on posted some shit, yall niggas got mad and for weeks or months, (well weeks make months right? so I'll go with that) yall threw shit at eachother. Finally you decided it would be fitting to settle this pseudo-e-beef with a beat battle thread, for a dude who doesn't even make beats...sounds pretty dumb to me..

It's not an insult.. calm down B)

I dont understand why people think I'm uncalm all the time.

If he doesnt even make beats how can he criticize?

I was under the assumption he made beats, thus I posted this thread. It wasnt to perpetuate "e-beef" but to clearify and back up the dude's insult towards Subbass. How can you criticize someone's beats if you in fact dont make beats yourself? Thats like me walking up to painter and saying his paintings are straight garbage, when in fact he makes all his hues and shades from scratch. something I know nothing about.

I know you're not insulting anybody 00.

So thats all I really have left to say.

mate, that statement is really lame. makes you sound a bit naive.

anyone can criticize anything. they don't have to actively participate in the thing they are criticizing..of course someone who does will have a greater understanding of the processes involved but that is only one part of the audience and as a result you can often miss something that only regular people/listeners/viewers etc, will notice..

Meh...I'm just kickin back on this...I've known for a while that Bronxie just talks mad shit...never honestly expect him to drop a beat though. I appreciate what Scabs was tryin to do though...he's tryin to be a stand-up character...and that's cool. Overall though, just let Bronx keep lookin' foolish...it's not hurtin' anything...he's harmless...

if you don't do it it's harder to put together an educated critique.

of course anyone can say 'i like this' or 'i don't like this', but to articulate why you don't like it is another thing

it's probably easier to criticize a rhyme than a beat though because there's usually more technical stuff going on in a beat than in a rhyme

oh shit! who's gonna jump on this first! B) Cookie? This is gonna sound obvious to most, but until you've actually tried rapping (your own rhymes, not something you've memorized), it is a LOT harder and technical than you think. You did say "usually" more technical...hard to argue with that really. nevermind.

haha this thread is a mess...

I'm thinkin this was supposed to be like a "The Fam vs Bronxie Pooh" thread...all this in-fighting!

I'm staying out of it....:ninja:

well i said usually. of course there are exceptions.
doom over a lil jon beat is gonna be more technical on the rhyme side.
lil jon rapping on a doom beat is likely more technical on the beat side

another example is the beat i gave captaincookie.
the beat took me about a week to make, while cap'n wrote his verse in under a day
i do work a lot slower than most people, but that is still a big difference

I see where you are coming from, man. Trust me, I've posted stuff in the Crates that had ZERO replies, happens to all of us...it's not just you. The thing about the battles is that it's a give-and-take, you give feedback and get it in return. If you want more feedback for non-battle beats, I would say Join The Battles. You will be guaranteed that someone will listen to your music, and you have the opportunity to pay them back with some feedback of your own. I think once you prove that you can be helpful to other beatmakers you will probably get more responses to non-battle beats. No offense to anyone, but if I see someone who only posts beats asking for feedback but never gives out any feedback of their own...well...just kind of makes me not want to listen...

Yeah, plus one is more likely to check something out by someone you know better, at least that's how it works for me.. :D
But I'm very inconsistent when it comes to feedback on stuff posted here, it has to do a lot with the timing of the post, when I read it etc.
Sometimes I check it at work where I can't listen, and forget to listen later, same thing with the beat battles unfortunately..
