I listen to The Main Ingredient more. Dunno why, really... I think I just prefer the mid-90s sound. The beats are crisper and simpler, less funky. Even though there's only two years difference. Plus The Main Ingredient has "I Get Physical" and "Worldwide" which beat "T.R.O.Y." in my opinion. I never really understood why that song's so popular anyway.

That "Worldwide" beat is nice. But for me, I liked when pete rock went solo and started doing the 'Soul Survivor' series and the instrumentals/compilations for BBE. But i'll go with the Main Ingredient if i had to choose between the two.

Yea I can't even front I've been fighting this for the past few years and Imma have to ultimately go with The Main Ingredient just for the fact that "I Get Physical", "Take You There", and it's title track take the cake for me !

Funny, I thought I was going to be alone on The Main Ingredient. Just cuz I always hear cats on here bringin up TROY all the time.

"Take You There" is still a party favorite every time I DJ.

If TROY, Straighten it Out and One in a Million were on Main Ingredient it'd be game over. All in all Main Ingredient is a better LP though.
