Yea it's been discussed but man I just bought it and I want to talk about it now, in a whole new thread....this album is dope as fuck. The beats are sooooooo fresh. Selfishs' rhyming really grew on me. When I first heard it, it was all about the beats but now it's the whole thing. Like I said, it's been discussed but support this album....And big up to P-face for the raw album art.

"The Flyest" (which I think sounds better than Talib's "Eat to Live"...The sample just sounds dirtier) and "Baby" tie as my favorite songs. Also the little interlude beat after "Bang!" and "Lastone" kill it.

Yea I know I repeated a thread but its been months ago so back up off me.

I love this album too..

And just like you're saying, the beats are fire but Selfish is one of the nicest MCs I've heard in so long!
Nice voice, good flow and some pretty interesting lyrics to go with it.

I think it was Doom_Addikts who first recommended it here, and I thank him for that

Aw, thanks...

But yeah, this album is absolute fire. It took me a while to fully take it all in, but it's one of the best albums of '07, hands DOWN.

I talk to Fluent every once in a while on myspace, and he says that the First Toke Instrumentals will be released later this year. Woo!

hey captaincookie, if you want the Slop inst. now, check Uncut Raw's myspace. ;)

uncut raw 2's gonna be absolute HEAT! can't wait.

but I'd much rather get the instrumentals first...do you know how long I've been tuning out Self just to hear "tillthesuncomeup" and "so bad"?

and yeah, wax would be choice. :D

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Ryan, but you may call me Riz. I am very well-skilled in finance management, and I also dabble in other business ventures such as energy sports drinks, choreography, and "hip-hop" quotes. My best friend is a colleague of mine named Daniel, but his moniker is MF. We used to reside in lower west Los Angeles, an area you may know as Compton. There I learned self-defense from Master Beijing at the Dojo Theatre. I am not kidding you, trust me. best songs on FT (in no order)

1. The Flyest
2. Tilthesuncomeup
3. Interlude 1 (with the AWB sample..I think.)
4. So Bad
5. WWIV
6. Lastone
7. Baby
8. Crazy
9. 727 (nasttttttyyyyy beat-rock at the end)

I've ran through the album so much (10-15 times), I only listen to those songs now.

all of them are very listenable, though.

I'm trying to get fluent to put that "cut it" beat back up on his myspace.
So if you're reading this.......I need to hear that. SOOOOOO FRESH!

"Lastone"

one of the most soulful productions I've heard recently; phenomenal song.

Just heard it for the first time last night.

And I may be going out on a limb here, but this guys rapping makes Guilty Simpson look like a pansie.

Def in my top 10 of 2007.

i don't know...i need to go back and listen to the whole album all the way through - all I play now is lastone, so bad, tilthesuncomeup, and the flyest mostly.

and yes, top 10 DEFINITELY!
