just watched the trailer a while back... it looks a lot like bomb the system by adam lough... bomb the system is pretty cool, the trailer of this movie looks kinda mediocre...

just finished watching it...

your evaluation based on the trailer is right. against the wall is pretty mediocre. its pretty slow throughout
and it seems like it was supposed to be depressing - however, the movies dullness did not let me get emotionally attached - i didn't really feel for these characters
i
wouldn't buy this movie.
its a fair rental
there was a mr. lif song that caught my attention

it seems like they were mixing elements of "kids" with the same type of soundtrack as "donnie darko" (lofty-mello-depressing)
with some graff parts mixed in.

they did not pull it off tho..(not nearly as good as the above mentioned)

if you're trying to make somthing "edgy", you cant go half way -
this movie could powerful -
have been really
the fuse was lit but it just fizzled away and died like a bunk firework.
i'll give it a C

damn...
grandmas boy was actually funny...
if you're in the mood for a dumb movie and a smoke, this is a good one.

mysterious skin -- kinda disturbing, but i really liked it
check "tarnation"
my friend made me watch hard candy the other day. he loves it. i think its o.k.
he also made me watch irreversable.(very disturbing shit)
ive been seeing too many movies lately whose subject matter is abuse (mental and physical)

what is 3 times?

you me and everyone we know was good. what does that kid say? "i want too poo back and forth with you"
so funny.

i saw thank you for not smoking the week of 4.20 while vacationing in LA.
cali's finest had me in a haze, so i definitly need to check this one again. i see its on DVD now...

3times is available on dvd as the others listed....

takes place in taiwan in 3 different time periods with the same actors for each piece

1911
1956
and present

very dope.. shows how culture and technology seperates/unites a couples relationship. Amazing

Jim Jarmusch sweats this film big time if that means anything to you...

hard candy's color aspect blew me away. the script was also a pleaser for me...

try to rent "last life in the universe" thai/japanese/english film... about a romance - but not on the regular tip.

i like those twisted films.... on the lite tip stiller is cool

curb your enthusisasm is a mainstay but thats not cinema.. thats hbo....

i'll try to peep the ones u mentioned w/good reviews....

jim jarmusch is pretty much my favorite :
dead man, mystery train, ghost dog, night on earth.
I thought broken flowers was o.k. (not too good - but i loved the ethiopian road trip tape)

im home from work sick so i'll go pick up some more movies.
3 times for sure.
"last life in the universe" was in my hands several times but i never rented it.
i've read the box, walked around with it but then i saw somthing else and it got bumped.
today may be the day...

i love renting the seasons of curb you enthusiam. i'm about halfway through the fourth season...
i never catch it while its playing on hbo.

i want to poo back and forth with you

couldn't get "last life...." or 3 times
hollywood video did not have it. i've been renting there for two months now...
must have been another store i've see it at.

its really hard to find a good rental program. its selection vs. speed..online rental is great for selection, but for me there is too much downtime. i get a better deal going into a store andpaying $30 a month for 3 videos at a time...

i picked up 'The Notorious Betty Page' and "a prarie home companion"
i liked prarie home...i can get into all differnet types of movies...
this one is pure midwest saturday afternoon NPR.

Betty page is a good view also. I'm only 1/2 way through it. very interesting. i've never really paid attention to the hisory of erotica...

movies i need to see again:

rubin and ed
the dark backwards
the seven samauri
flashback
loveless
