Whatever you did to the sample, it sounded like it slowed down & sped up slightly to get different tones...what plug-ins did you use in Fruity Loops? Granulizer? Slicer? Wave Traveller?

Slicer for the piano and synth-like sounds (and drums), and to get the different tones out of the acoustic bass sound I just used the "keyboard editor" :(

you got the drums drums for that une?
whu?
you got special skills i think.

yah the hummy sound that makes up the ,melody of the first part of the first song.

I think it's at about 10:26 to 10:42 in the song, if I'm thinking of what you thinking :)

Hmmm...keyboard editor...haven't used that before...I'll hafta look through my FL Studio program. What version are you using? For whatever reason I like version 5...even though I have 6 & 7 also.

Further reviews before I vote..

Quasquasquas - Nice stuff...would have worked best as an interlude I thought...

Jlft - Had a nice sound to it...pretty tame...but good sounds...another great interlude track...

Django - REALLY diggin yours...the first & third parts are dope...REALLY nice use of the vocal samples & stuff...

I'm pretty sure you know about it, I didn't even know it was called the Keyboard Editor until now
You know the little Keyboard icon thing in the top right corner of the pattern editor?

well ill try to give my humble opinions...great beats everyone nonetheless

ren - very unique, you seem to think of loops i could have never thought of..
i really like the second part

s.l - awsome...simple and effective i guess, builds up nicely, but also kinda repeats itself after that synth kicks in

bill collector - well...obviously one of the best...amazing work with the drum loops, and of course the second part just kills, just almost perfect....i cant not nod my head....so creative it makes you giggle...

subbass - as usual, great clean work, the bippings just made the beat. no doubt, and also very creative imo...

quasquasquas - also, fuckin nice work with the piano, kinda repeats itself abit but the idea starts great....

jift - kinda nice, doesnt change much and not heavy enough i think, but its nice

great work, and thanks subbass

Well not really the piano roll, the piano roll lets you place the samples anywhere, like when you use the slicer or something..
WIth this keyboard editor or whatever it's called, you still use the pattern editor to place the "hits"..but you choose what tone it's playing it in.
But I think you know what I'm talking about anyway =)

Thanks django!

I've just had some super strong pills, so I think I'll listen to everybodys beats once again and type something soon..

Ahhh...OK...I know what you're talking about now...yeah...that can be a really good editor to use for getting cool little tom or bass drum fills...of course I usually forget that it's there...lol...

Yeah, but it's usually no good since the samples often end up just sounding too pitched up or down, but I think this acoustic bass sound worked pretty well with it..
