LOL, I forgot it's friday, and I haven't even listened to the sample songs yet :)
I'll see if I can do something when I get home from work, or if I'll stick to voting..

Rushen Attack

SUPER SICK CHOPS.
And I like the drum work that was goin on.
Proving myself right again.

Hopefully I ain't the only one who fucked with the Santana sample?? :)
STMBBB#28
Nothing too much I guess?
I just heard the loop I used for the Hook & Intro and based my track around that. Probably the worst way to go but it sounded real powerful.

Audioholik: Good quality recording, pretty clean....i like your mute off's, they were nicely timed.
Ern: Pretty dope thumpy sound here, like the use of the vocal cuts...ended abit soon, could of easily gone on abit longer.
SL: Crisp recording, good quality clap sound as usual, not a massive fan of the style of the beat but still sounded well made, brave choice to use the santana.
Josh: Good beat (individual hits i believe), very nice guitar hook used on the second part, cruising in the car type of vibe.
Sleepy: Same kind of vibe here as josh's, pretty chilled....although i have to be honest and say i wasnt a massive fan of the change up at about 1.40.

good work folks, keep them coming.

Well, I liked how it started out, but I got stuck after making the two sets of chops that I made. Ended up liking it less than I thought I would...bummer.

STMB 28

EDIT: I'll listen to and critique tracks after I finish checkin e-mails...

Big Ern - Props for the title...I used to have that game on the old NES back in the day...diggin what ya got near the beginning...lo-fi drums are nice...

S.L. - Lovin that kick you used...nice shit...also diggin how you took a track I'd never fuck with for sampling and made it work...I would say you could improve it a bit if you took that change part where the same note repeats a lot, and bring the occasional one up in pitch just to vary it a bit...maybe the last two notes on each alternating verse? I dunno...still gotta give ya props...

Josh G - Really like the smooth quality of your track...good samples...good chops...nice bassline...I could hear someone flowin' over that easily...

Sleepy - Nice chops...had a cool mellow vibe...just not sure about the overly metallic hi-hats...sounds less organic than the rest of your track...not really a big fan of the change-up either...not that it's bad, just not really my style of music.

Quasquasquas - I like how you flipped the outro to the intro...but it sounds like the beat drops in just a split second too soon...Was enjoying your beat until the stuttering stuff came in...I'm a fan of that if used sparingly, but it was a bit too much when juxtaposed with such smooth chops...

Thanks for the critiques you guys
I'm not a fan too much of the sound either, but after looping up the hook I really couldn't find much that was choppable that stood out alone so I just did what I did. And I myself think that one note being repeated is quite much. HAHAHAH!
I'll give everybodies a listen and my 2cents when I get back from washing my clothes.
NO DRYING THOUGH. SHRINKS YOUR CLOTHES.

Josh G- I liked both of those beats. Very smooth. The 2nd one gave me an old New York type of feel, you know?
For some reason I could see Jay-Z from the reasonable Doubt days rhyming over the second beat

Sleepy- At first I was ready for the loop, then you threw something else over it that sounded real dope. THE HAT WORK. man, that shit sounds dope. AND WHEN YOU FUCKED WITH THE VOCALS AND TURNED IT INTO SOME 80'S NEW WAVE KIND OF SHIT. HAHAHAHAH THAT WAS TOO DOPE. That shit came out of NOWHERE.
The other part of the beat with a Piano stab, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU MADE THAT!? HAHAH! THAT SHIT HAD MY BOUNCING. FORREAL. Your track was CRAZY DOPE.

QUAStothe3rd- I like the drums you used! Sound real heavy. I like how you made Rushen's voice stutter and shit! Caught m eoff guard with that shit.

SubBass- Man, when the beat first started and the kicks came in I knew this beat was going to be something! I like the way it was chopped and arranged too. Dude, you did some crazy shit was that Bassline. The hook made the beat more powerful to me aswell. This is why you are one of my usual suspects to fuck shit up in these battles.

I feel the same way.
It's not like going up to some random head and they're all "Oh, it don't sound like G Unit shit.."
Just because that's whats "Hot in the Streets", you know?

django - That's not bad! Nice blend of the two tracks...something felt a little bit "off" about it at points, but it was still a nice track. It might have been the softer sounds after the female vox from the Rushen track...but I'm not sure...

couldnt think of anything else.

its a 3 parter
intro, beat, outro
so stay tuned.

also i wanted to use the ms fat booty accap.
but i couldnt find it so i had to improvise.

hope you like it.

Ren - I like that fade-in effect you busted...all lo-fi fading into a more "normal" sound...once again your track is somethin I could space out to...meditation type shit...
