Hah! Dungen, I don't think I've heard that song, but he/they has made some pretty good stuff!

I also like the Dank&Jammy Show and Elovee..

Dungen are absoultley bad!! their analoug-y sound is exactly what i look for when diging for late 60's / 70's rock..... they recreated it perfectly.. sounds like Pugh Rogefelt otr something!!

My favourite Dungen-track is probably "Du e för fin för mig" from the album "Ta det lugnt" (over 8 minutes long, DanSmith would most definitely hate it! ;))

I found what must have been the only Strata East LP sitting in an Australian record shop... damn was I surprised... anyway, its Mtume's 2LP massive-sounding "Alkebu-lan", not exactly samplable but I can always feel this epic free jazz stuff.

Shipped in this week was Gal Costa's "India" (featuring A. Verocai arrangements) which in the end was kind of underwhelming but still pretty nice. As well as Pharoah Sanders' "Izipho Zam" which as always with his stuff was much appreciated...

Also got a lot of cruddy fusion (from digging)... and some Japanese disco jams courtesy of Superfly.

$20 AUD, not something I'd usually pay for a single record at a store but I thought it was an opportunity too good to miss... didn't realise it was that rare!

yikes!!! the beatles LP looks cool...

here's my latest ones. some trades, some interent buys and a few real world grabs:

Posted Image

picked the Judee Sill LP up as a blind buy only to find its not really to my taste -- its up for trade if anyone wants it.

'hubble bubble' is a rather boring library of childrend comical music wit han one absolutley amazing track that has a nice funky breakbeat thing with burping and farty noises over the top --- will definately find its way ont omy next mix!!

7's are:

NINO FERRER - mao et mao (amazing!!! not a duff track on the ep)
FANCY - wild thing
BOBBY DARIN - splish splash
MARY KAYE TRIO - that wasnt me
DUANE EDDY - shazam!
THREE DOG NIGHT - writings on the wall
BT EXPRESS - do it (till youre satisfied)
THE COASTERS - that is rock and roll
ROSE GARDEN - next plane to london
MOTHERLODE - when i die (dilla donuts loopzzzzz)
SUGARHILL GANG - rappers reprise

Nothing special for me lately. A quick in and out of the record store. Sometimes I'm in the mood to buy records BUT I don't feel like looking through them because I have to look through EVERYTHING.
