everytime I sit down with an MPC I end up hating it. Even at my school when they showed it to be VERY simple... I just dont like the fact that I cant do this: press record and I'm recording. press mark and I'm chopping. press resample and I've just resampled my chop. THAT SIMPLE THAT QUICK. I like to make my beats in a matter of 20 minutes cuz I focus the mrest of the hour mixing. then I'm done with it.

I dont care about multiple outputs cut I mix my drums before sending them into the SP if thats how I'm doing it. and if I'm sampling drums I'll just send it into Protools and mix or sequence it.

But I hardly ever make beats anymore cuz I'm more focused on recording at this point now.

thats the time you should be making all the beats you can though... but I agree... I got let go from my job and I should be interning or making beats but I dont... I just write rhymes. Well, good thing I get free studio time at the school.
I'm booking wed-Sat 12-8pm to record some of the tracks for "HOW YOU FEELING?"

for me this is what i love about the SP's... just turn on the power and "bam!" no files, folders, programs, save/load, crashes etc... & on the SP's, resampling your chops & adding fx's to them is easy too... just me though...
