ren...
I'm still kinda in the clouds about the way you want to count up the votes so when you give us the tally we'll know what's up.

stay tuned!

arrrgh crap.... computer had troubles and I couldnt vote at work yesterdee....

vote would have been :

Bill
Wig
Honey

when we first mentioned the new voting thing i didnt have points in mind....i was thinking more like....if the first place votes were tied then the honourables votes come into effect but only between those who were tied. not too complicated then!

the whole 1,2,3 order and 3,2,1, points is gonna get confusing to read and count, so just ignore 2nd n 3rd votes unless theres a tie...then its like normal voting ..." winner in Bold and 2 honourables init??? "

......weird......Bill gets more points... but... Ern got more 1st place Votes..!!!!..Erns voting Rules said Points counted so i suppose its fair that Bill wins this week.

anyway , nice to See the new Entries...........Sound pretty good too.

gOTTA SAY IT......THAT sAMPLE was so Stale...

These are actually ren's voting rules....I was confused from the jump so you guys know better than me because I don't have a clue how this is suppose to work. That's why I was waiting on ren because he is the one that came up with the system. I say we just switch it back to the old way next time.

whats up guys,

Im fucked up from last night still and im at this cafe, Im still drunk,
I cant seem to ad well right now so Im gonna trust (bill was it?) who added up the scores already.
if anyones got a problem with that well, too bad.

if there are any dicrepencies in scores im sure you guys can be civilised to each other and figure it out.
calculators are not expensive these days Im sure you can figure how to ad.

anyhow, Im out, I need to sleep for another three hours so I dont murder anyone.

easy.
sorry if theres any problem with that but as i say, you guys are smart (well maybe not ern...cant figure out scoring system? :)
anyhow, good luck and good beat making to you all.

Im outtie 5000 G.

Well it's not that I'm not smart ren, it's just that i don't recall you saying anything about 2pt and 1pt people.
But now I see that even if you get more (1st) place votes, you can still lose ( )....

You kinda came up with the rules and then.....ah forget it, nevermind.... :)

BILL it's on you my good man.....give us something funky.

Nice job everyone....and back to the old voting way next week if everyone agrees?

we could pick our top 3 and if there's a tie then use how many total votes (1st, 2nd and 3rd votes) each person got as the tie breaker. simple and only if needed.

DOWNLOAD THE SAMPLE => Mel Torme - Guilty

I hope you folks can get with this, something a little older and dusty this week.

Normal rules should apply i think.....

easy on the synths, use the sample only, no rules on drums ect

i prefer the old voting method too, was way too complicated this week.

maybe people should all write a little constructive critisism about every entry when they vote rather than the 1st 2nd 3rd & honourable mention thing, that way at least everyone gets some acknowledgement/feedback and we dont have to count.

post your entry before saturday(21st), but not until friday(20th).

ties werent that much of a problem before i dont think....everyones obviously free to write as much or little as they want. wouldnt even matter if it were a competition or not to me, as long as a sample is posted up and you can hear other peoples take on it.

Why don't you just create a poll on the messageboard when all entries are submitted? Then the voting issue is solved.

thanks wig yep, normal rules apply

my personal take on it is a synth means maybe a sine wave tone as a bass or a string or moogy sound or something like that, if i were adding other samples i would limit it to maybe a small scratch or a sound effect.

I like this sample, but since I'm going to Denmark tomorrow and won't be back until sunday, there won't be nothing from me this week.
See you on sunday, suckers! ;)
