Starts today. Can't wait to see this. The trailer looks good as fuck. I love the whole concept of the majority of the film taking place inside a hotel room. This could be the best horror flick of the year. Could be.

Here's the trailer:

While we're on Stephen King, whats everyones favorite novel/film of his?

I'd have to go with The Shining and The Dead Zone.................but then there's also Stand By Me and Shawshank so........

hell yeah! im prolly gonna go see that tonight.

as far as king movies tho, stanley kubricks take on the shining was awesome, but aside from that, im partial to silver bullet with gary bussey. the book is good too, i beleive its called the cycle of the werewolf. i love a good werewolf flick.

1408 looks like it will be good.

As for King novels....Cycle of the werewolf was good. I liked The Gunslinger (most of the Dark Tower series really), The Tommyknockers, The Running Man, The Stand and The Shining.

I want to check out The Colorado kid........

didn't they make steven kings novel "The Body" into the film "Stand by me"??

fave novel? umm... probably "Misery" or "Dead Zone"

to be honest i like most of em... but those 2 stuck with me in particular..

i think i like his short stories more though, like what this new film is based on - that story is fuckin scary..

dont get yer expectations up on the colorado kid, its not total crap or anything, just not that great, kinda boring. it all takes place in an old newsroom. of the three characters total, two are old men and the third a college age writer. its sorta boring. its really not as noirish or hard crime realted as we are lead to beleive its gonna be by the publisher's title of "hard case crime" or the pulpy lookin cover. i mean i read it all so its not that bad, i just wouldnt recomend it. read the talisman or eyes of the dragon instead.

Thanks for the notice, i was drawn to it by the cover illustration. Maybe i'll come across it at a used book store or something,

True indeed.

I was checkin IMDB for other King movies due out and I saw that Frank Darabont (Shawshank, Green Mile) is doing another King novel called "The Mist" which is coming out in November. No trailer yet. Sounds pretty damn good though.....

I thought Hostel 2 was dissapointing. I was hoping that Roth would redeem himself with that movie. Lets hope he can get the ball rolling with "Cell." As far as the best stephen king movie, Shawshank, hands down.

cell was a very good book, ended kinda weird for me, but that's stephen king for ya. 8.5/10.

i didn't see hostel 2 (or 1) yet. my woman did, but she didn't have anything good to say about it. but then again, she's more of a sci-fi horror (like mutated spider breeds) person, anyway.

Yeah, I agree with that. Saw it last night as well. It reminded me a lot of 80's horror flicks, it had the whole atmosphere, the pop-up scares, the good music, etc. Don't want to give anything away, but they could have left out a whole section of the middle and stuck with where it was going. If that makes sense. All in all, it was a fun night at the movies. The way horror flicks should be.

one of the weakest horror movies i've ever saw and i'm really a fan of all kind of horror movies or trash movies but this movie was extremly uninspired and boring, the gore scenes were kinda stupid...

but i also didn't like the first hostel film, cabin fever was okay, thought it was fun to watch...

carrie is by far the weirdest movie based on a king book... it has some great but also some extremly stupid moments...

shining shouldn't even count in this list because kubrick created something really different... it's still one of my all time favorite horror movies...

shawshank is great...

Favorite Stephen King movie is definitely The Shining, and as for books, I haven't read as many as I'd like to but Salem's Lot was dope.

Eli Roth is horrible. He strikes me as an intern who's trying too hard to impress people. That said, I like his movies cause I'm into horrible, rediculous horror films.

I just got finished watching Hostel 2 on some site a few mins ago. It was bad, but not disappointing. It was about as bad as I expected it to be. Luckily there were less nipple appearances in this one, but I expected a little more blood/gore.
