And88 --- i dont think yours is on beat!! might want to re-jig in slightly...

here's mine: HEAVY ZULU DRUMS!!! rootdown (pencilface remix)

edit: having criticised and88's, ive noticed that the accapella on mine is only barely holding onto the beat!!! bugger.

the beat sounds interesting.

but why did you pitch down the acappella instead of pitchin the beat/samples up a little?

IMO it sounds a little weird when the acappella was altered. but hey, it's just my opinion.

Yo! i love the beat man! great cuts, can u upload just the instrumental? In my opinion the beastie boys flow doesnt really go too well with the beat, i might have changed it so the flow is on a different down beat

p.s. what song did u take those cuts from

jsut the SP303 and thats it.... its a pretty slapdash way of doing things, but quite fun as i dont hae to sit and stare at a computer screen whilst making beats. i dont really take any of it seriously enough to invest in any proper hardware --- all my funds go on records.

Thanks to Pencilface and Tone for the comments, i didnt make an instrumental as i just made the track for the round, i agree the rap doesnt go too well, it was a hard one to juggle, i think i had the tempo wrong to start, 102bpm and did too much, so it was too late to go back and start again. the track i sampled was roshell anderson 'i'm pushin on'...i hope theres a good sample to use in the next round, or maybe a simple beat against beat round would be cool.

OK...finally got to listen to 'em...

Pencilface: DOPE ass beat...sounds almost too good for this track though! Needs some deeper lyrics than this to fit the moody elements of the beat...

Andt88: Crazy soundin stuff...like your chops, but the acapella just aint fittin over it...but that's been said before. Still a sick beat...

Tone: I like the twist of slowing the vox down...nice stuff...has a whole different feel to it...also how you managed to get some of the stuff to harmonize...nice work!

Bill's MPC Geek Mix: Holy shit...I love it! Except a few of the vocal chops were a bit too loud in the mix to fit that mellow chilled out beat...but it's adope progression...really diggin your bass sounds...

Root Down Obrigado Mix: Nice stuff...like the Brazilian flavor, but the breaks were a little generic sounding for my tastes...

Sanka: Not sure if the vibe of your beat fits the track...sounds like something NIN might do...really dark...too dark for the acapella...

But yo...someone hit me with some feedback on mine...I've only been makin beats for about 2 years now, so every bit of feedback helps...

Peace.
