20 years TODAY

Verbal Intercourse with Nas. Ice Cream. Apollo Kids. The Shark Biters skit. Arguably the greatest Wu-Tang album, solo or otherwise.

Appropriate timing considering the Ghostface Massacre of July 2015, which will live on infamy, you fat fucks.

edit: not apollo kids

This album only gets worse with time. Loops. RZA is a thief. chef is a dummy who did a good on singing very long hooks. And wrote one of his most musical verses-you mentioned the song above. This album is cringe-inducing. But at least it is one of those Latin/African American unifying albums, ironically.

Edit: i have zero clue what this chipmunk is saying here. all I know is the man with the golden arms shits on the entire crew as far as verses go: http://www.complex.c...ang-music-group

I never really liked MWBOOGIE.

The first time I heard Criminology I was like "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS??!"

This album is proabbly top 5 all time in rap, maybe better. Super sick.

Your feelings hurt? It just doesnt hold up after all this time.

Once you get past the hardest hitting four songs to start a record-its a bit facile to the ear, in retrospect.

I will say that the samples are well-played out and the songs selected were laid out perfectly so as to move like a play. One of the best arranged albums.

Chef seems like a big pussy, though. His bragadoccio is mad loco for a fat chipmunk looking spanglophile.

Criminology was good. Incarcerated Scarfaces..."who you think you fucking with?" The shorter interludes...
Rza did a good job settting him up for this "master piece" by granting him an exclusive verse on Method Man's Meth vs. Chef.

I wonder if i rip off Chariots of Fire Soundtrack will it have the same effect:

I still think MWBOOGIE is silly. This post just confirms it. In my opinion and the overwhelming opinion is that this is an incredible album. You have the right to your opinion, but if you wear bell bottoms, to school in 1992, you look like a fool.

Look i loved it 95 being caught up in the commercial quality of it. i spent alot of time listening to it over the years, admittedly. But, it wasnt mindblowing-or something closely kept underground like Liquid Swords. Thank goodness we did not have a complex magazine back then-

Masta Killa is a terrible rapper.
U God has one of my all time favourite voices. Plus, he has dropped some real funky flows over the years. So, im'a vote against your claim for the U God.

LOL this being for debate

U-God is at the bottom of everyone I know Wu Tang hierarchy list;=

Even RZA knows he's weak lyrically that's why it took so long for any of his solo projects to be released back in the day, IMO...

RZA should have replaced U God with Frukwan or Poetic when 6ft Deep dropped

But I get that clan brotherhood shit they got so....I'll shut up

Just from my vinyl-a lot of joints, but weirdly he shines on the most commercial releases:

triumph; pinky ring (uzi or someshit).; battleship; and yes he made those shitty ghost jiggy joints balanced. As bad as they were you still come away with his signature imprinted on your dome.

Come on miss stress you treat rza as though he is infallible dealer. Not quite fond of him-

And popularity contests are a bore. Im pretty sure that UGod wasnt buying RZA snake-oil and let him no about it, instead of Raekwon who said Ill show you and made a song that sounded like it should be on the girl with a dragon tattoo soundtrack under the name MC clearly Fronting.

Now we all know our Wu Tang history RZA is like the de facto leader or whatever he claims...whatever that bullshit .

You really going to sit here and claim U-God shines the most?  Really? You must be claiming this for kicks and giggles.

If not to each their own.I guess. You're the first person that has ever made claim to U God and I'm still side eye even believing you <_<

Funny. If you read earlier in the thread, you will see that there are others who agree. And you'll find a sketchy paid by number of click website or two that will make a similar claim.

But i appreciate your simcerity.

Re: rza-yeah he claims at least 50% i wouldnt be surprised if its more. Sure, i spent good money on his good ear for samples( actually a couple of my alltime favorite somgs and thankful to have them on vinyl), but, seems like a stick up kid who has fleeced his own co-conspirators during a bank heist.

Hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion...if that's your opinion I respect that. I don't agree but I'm grown enough to respect it

IMO U God gets outshine, lyrically especially when up against the likes of GZA, Deck, Rae and even Mr. Makes up words Ghost. Now as far as moving the crowd he probably is better at that ..I mean that's part of MCing to move the crowd so I'll give you that. We all know GZA ain't no plate spinner

RZA can come off as an asshole when he wants to be.okay maybe alot..he said some shit in interviews in the past that I've been like really <_<  <_<

Im not mad at ya. You went so deep into the 36 Chambers that you also dug 6 feet deep with the Frukwon reference. Dont need to tell you who RZA owes everything to ;)

i cringed watching the latest reunion tour and seeing Raekwon acting petulant-even if he was in the right.

I have this friend who was an MC of note years ago (even released the last known recording of a popular rock/soul singer of the eighties), who dishes dirt quite a bit, so much so that i dont believe half of his ish, but he did make some decent points: RZAs thievery amongst his band of not-so-merry men knows no bounds; the greedy bastard made his own late cousins son a back up dancer for 99duckets and some change ( not to mention collecting loot off of a gurgle); but he kept reminding me that Raheem keeps holding the rest down and oddly: i believe him.
