if youve been following the mister yo saga this is actually the first song i ever constructed.

i think the flow needs improvement...but it's not that bad.

MTG raps are a new thing, i guess.

 

the next thing for you would probably be to work on things like recording better vocal takes, EQ, mixing/mastering, as well as pushing yourself out of your comfort zone in terms of song-writing.

 

concentrate more on trying to, like, actually say something that might register with your audience instead of shoe-horning in all of the rhyming words you thought of for a particular couplet...i know that's something i used to do too, but now i just write line-by-line and really think about what should come next before i put anything down.

yeah like i said this was my first track ever and i thought id come up with three different flows.

 

i think a lot of stuff said in this song can register with people though even if its just a nasty visual

i mean, yeah, it's good to have confidence in your product -- it's just that i didn't personally recall much of anything you had said throughout the track, so you've also gotta start reconciling your perception of your music vs. the perception of any average joe listener such as myself coming in totally oblivious.

 

it's not bad for a first track though...how long have you been writing/recording?  are these tracks you've been posting like your first ones ever?
