Kendrick reacting to the Seinfeld King Kunta thing, thought it was pretty funny
Jacking Flying Lotus' beats
Kendrick: Flying Lotus gave me all these beats and I think they were for his album. I didn't really know. The beats were so crazy, I didn't really care [laughs]... I was real selfish with them joints, man.
Even the joints didn't make the record, they still some of my favourite joints and I'm still holding them hostage.

Don't mind if I add my two cents on Kendrick, but one of the things I love about him is that he is able to try and turn making a hip-hop album into a modern-day dip into the Realism genre that was explored back in the days of Harlem Renaissance. For those not familiar, realism documents everything, flaws included when talking about the life of a black man. No heroism and no demonization. Good Kid, m.A.A.d City tackles his past as a straight A student who once killed somebody when he was hanging out with friends, and To Pimp a Butterfly tackles the life of Kendrick Lamar as he explores his place as a black man and a black artist.
That is my favorite kind of black art. The kind that doesn't seek to hold black people in high or low regard, but as people who are as human as anybody. Plus, dude can spit like nobody's business, of course!

I hope D'Angelo isn't turning old and bitter. I hate it when people say shit like that, all it says to me is that they're too lazy to find good new artists.
