These two are definitely some of my favorite cats currently making music and their previous collabs have left me wanting more. So I didn't even hesitate to hit the purchase button when I saw this come through on the twitter. Really digging the whole packaging concept as well.

That's strange. When it was first announced this morning it was only $10.

Too bad the Backwoods packaging is sold out though. That's super wack. I would buy one instantly. Wrist-slitting session commencing.

The blunt wrap packaging is a nifty idea indeed.

But seeing that it's sold out, can you still buy the cassette in just a regular case?

what's the origin of the term "backwoods" anyway?

it's the company name, obviously.  i don't know anything about the company itself, but backwoods means a rural, forest area away from the city, and tobacco is a farm product.  these are machine-rolled cigars sold by an international company, but "backwoods" is probably meant to give it the aura if being a hand-rolled cigar straight off an old farm.

they're certainly hand-rolled after Ras adapts them for personal use.

so why buy cigars when they make empty blunt wraps now?

(i don't smoke anymore, so i never really got around to understanding why rappers do this lol)

I was really into blunts 11 years ago when I was a senior in High School. I would always try to get a Philly because it was more of a ritual thing of splitting it with your fingernail, pouring out that nasty brown tobacco, and then refilling it with that lush greenery. Some of my buddies were more inclined to cop a wrap so dudes are definitely doing both. For me personally, I like the whole ritual aspect of smoking ganja regardless of the medium its being consumed through.

it's definitely ritual, some cultural influence as well to be sure, with maybe a little side order of addiction to the tobacco buzz though most blunt smokers will never admit that.

I used to know dudes who smoked exclusively blunts yet when pressed couldn't explain their undying devotion to them at all.

blunt wraps are flimsy soft garbage, with a cigar its basically already rolled, you just put the weed in and lick it a little bit.

yeah, just like the infamous, allegedly "real LSD" laced sleeves of the Silk Rhodes LP...

ST is slowly transitioning into a drug cartel, a lá BMF Entertainment.

Sucks this sold out. When pressing limited amounts I think ST should have a limit to how many you can buy. I saw some dude on IG tell Ras that he copped 5 of them.
