Is this how ahead of its time Donuts was?  For Nas to come out and say that he's inspired by RTJ2 and that "The Season" is his way of relating to them in terms of progressiveness is CRAZY.  I'm way past the point of exhaustion on Dilla tributes and the sacrilege that is rhyming over an unlicensed Dilla beat but Nas's effort sounds decent.

Young Guru (Jay Z's engineer) mentioned having brought Dilla to Jay's attention years back.  Nas was obviously alive and well during Dilla's time on earth and we all know about the track Dilla did for Biggie.  It's absolutely mind-blowing to think Dilla was on the verge of taking his credits and legacy to an even greater level before his untimely death.

P.S., I don't buy the ghost-writing comments for a second.  Often times, where there's smoke there is fire.  For Nas to acknowledge these purported rumors in song is telling, especially when you consider it's been years since these rumors surfaced.

That was pretty fly. I don't really see how that beat could be compared to anything by run the jewels, he must have meant that they're all in the same sphere of good music.

Imagine a full Nas album produced by el p farrrrk.

Whaaat? This is crazy. Nas went with that beat better than I could have imagined just from reading the title alone. Why's he dropping this here at this event? Is it a sneak peek at a bigger project or is this just a stand alone track he's doing?
