Doesn’t sound that good but the audio quality is really poor.

Somehow I've avoided FL's music all these years except for that track he did for Killa Mike a few years ago. At this point I just like standing on the outside and watching you guys go back and forth. I feel like an anthropologist.

I hadn't heard anything since Los Angeles (besides Captain Murphy) but decided to check out this latest one. It's goddamn ridic.u.lous.

Probably my album of the year, RTJ2 has more tracks that make me say 'daaayum' but I think Youre Dead is a more complete album as a whole rather than RTJ2's fine collection of nasty tracks.

went and saw Flying Lotus last Saturday on the last stop of his "You're Dead!" tour.  it was an incredible show, in every way that Shabazz Palaces was not (which is not to say that S.P. sucked, they were my favorite live act this year; it's just that this show was completely different from theirs, yet equally as good).

he played mostly a mix of his new and old material, although at one point he dropped an unreleased Kendrick verse (that i have recorded in its entirety) and some crazy unreleased footwork he's been working on lately i guess...but the atmosphere was just super dope, Thundercat came back out (he was the opener) to reprise that P-Funk sounding song about ecstasy at one point, then FlyLo himself came from behind the elaborate set made of transparent screens and started spitting some Captain Murphy shit.

after the show ended, i stuck around and happened to run into Thundercat.  i always feel awkward talking to these people i look up to, especially because i'm the one out of a crowd of twenty who doesn't just want to get an Instagram picture to impress my friends or whatever...anyway, i told him that FlyLo and him are the new Bird and Diz imo -- that definitely got his attention.

he then proceeded to wrap his arm around me for a picture, but it was weird cause i was there solo and there was this misunderstanding that i was with this other couple nearby just trying to get a picture haha.

anyway, they felt obligated to let me into their picture after that, so i reluctantly posed (i'm not photogenic, especially when something unexpected like this comes along and i have 0 seconds to prepare) with them and now have this super fucking weird picture with myself, Thundercat and this stranger named Brian:

(i'm on the right)

anyway, so after this picture happened, i suddenly found myself walking with and actually having a short conversation with Stephen for a few minutes, which was really cool; but i'm painfully self-aware and realized my welcome would be worn out fast, so i cut the exchange short and told him to take it easy...and that's pretty much my story.  all in all, it was a dope experience -- and the fact that i got to meet Thundercat was awesome as well, because i'm a fucking weirdo that doesn't get to go out much as it is.

he's a very down to earth person...and i know i left at least some sort of impression on him, because he seemed very flattered by my compliment lol.
