That cat who produced this has been working with Homeboy Sandman a lot over the past few years. Same dude did the whole Fertile Crescent EP.

Until we get a statement from Nas himself, imma say Droog is Nas.  Too much evidence out there to say otherwise

Of course that's Nas. I'm just wondering why he couldn't have spit like this for the last decade.

Sound like Nas but Bronsolini sounds like Ghost and Shyne sounds like Biggie. okayPlayer says it ain't him and they the truth!!!

Kidding no idea. Could go either way. Whatever tho, dope music.

Edit.
No it's him. For surrrre. My guess is the alias gives him sample clearance on anything. So he can make old crusty music again. Dope.

If the music is dope (which it is) you can't knock it.

I don't know who this Droog character is, but the other credit on this, El RTNC makes some dope stuff. As with Homeboy Sandman, and if you check his Bandcamp, the Wanavfun album got some ill beats and I like how everything flows together.

Agreed.  I can see how an OG in the game would eventually get tired of dealing with the politics of the music industry and put out some real grimey hip-hop

The real emcees currently locked into that industry bullshit need to follow suit.  I might even use the label "underground hip-hop" again if that shit happens.

Yeah, after listening to at work this morning I'm pretty sure he put out this way to avoid label shenanigans. Now I just wanna see a bootleg vinyl pressing...

I hope for this too.

I remember back in the day there was a Japanese company that pressed up different 12" bootlegs like Gangstarr and such.

I wish some shady people like that still exsisted and would press up some vinyl.

Nowadays music is so whack being put out in digital form. I hate the internet.

idc if its nas but producers please at least put fucking drums on your beats. id rather just listen to the sample source material than you loop it and do nothing creative or interesting with it. i listened to the first 6 or 7 tracks then turned it off cuz it was all the same. also that track about instagram was so corny i was about to just cut it off there.

Not everyone needs to be drum god to make dope shit...

If you don't like it just pass it by no need to waste your energy telling folks how to make their beats. Go make your own beats and satisfy your needs.

You most really hate Marcberg though.

It's ok to express a negative opinion. Too much yin and not enough yang in the music world. No one wants to get labeled a "hater" or an asshole so even the wackest bands/rappers/producers only get positive feedback and then think they are the shit and whatever they are doing is good and awesome and right.

And I love marcberg, Marci beacoup wasn't great though
