Anyone been watching? This is probably one of the most interesting World Cups in quite some time.

I've been rooting for Portugal but with that horrible loss to Holland and Ronoldo being hurt it doesn't look like they will advance.

How about Costa Rica?!!

Oh yeah, been knee deep in the WC.

Man, USA's tie vs. Porto in the last seconds killed me.

Surprisingly in the "so-called" Group of Death" we've been handling ourselves well.

Of course!! Our nation has always shared a great amount of love for the game of football, we've had some pretty amazing teams and accomplishments throughout the years. Looking forward for the match vs Mexico tonight, it's a win or go home game for us, so I'm expecting something exciting. I'm confident that we can win and advance to the knock-out phase.

As for other nations, Chile was definitely the biggest surprise if you ask me.

As for the matches, I concur with what you said, this has definitely been one of the most interesting World Cups in years: so many goals, so many score shifts....and sadly poor decisions from the referees (see Croatia vs Brazil and Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Nigeria).

Balkans got screwed again by the fifa.

Anyway, great game starting right now ! Netherlands - Chile. I hope Chile will do great things. Oranje have greats strikers with Robben and Van Persie but their defense doesn’t seem to be as good. Two bucks on Chile.

I have to be honest: I don't care one lick about soccer, except during the world cup every four years. In between then it's all baseball and basketball. But yeah that Portugal goal killed me. The last fucking thing in the game!!??

Yeah that's the beauty of soccerball.... The score goes up by one but that one could be worth one million.

I am Australian and we've played ok in all 3 games but are also gonna lose all 3...

I'd love it that one day the World Cup could truly be worldwide, ie something like New Zealand v Luxembourg in the final or someshizz

I used to love the game, until diving, WAG's, and the ridiculous amount of importing players that goes on, the games changed so much it's a frustration to watch anymore, we have never been knocked out this early in the world cup, I'm sure Rooney is paid to miss when he puts on an england top, when your defence is out classed by someone that's just had knee surgery as well, and when your goalie starts screaming at the ball boy swearing, you know there is no return to Mexico 86 or Italia 90.

Some of these other teams though are really shocking, amazing talent, but Japan Vs Greece is probably the worst match I think ever seen, but was quite funny. I do think the final will end up with teams that no one expected.

Think tomorrow you will see Costa Rica decimate england completely.

The host country has never lost the first match, I'm convinced Croatia were screwed over.

So many goals this World Cup, it's ridiculous (in a good way, of course).

Last night's Mexico v Croatia game was very exciting.

Brazil (The team, not the country) really not impressing me much and I've yet to see an Argentina game, though I hear Messi's goal was something spectacular.

Both my teams are going home early (England & Spain) so I'm looking for another team to root for.

So far it looks like it could be Mexico or Belgium. Cocaine or Chocolate.

England really should have done better, they're just too used to losing these days.

Spain were just dismal, they really couldn't be bothered, deserved everything they got, kinda wish Australia had thrashed them too.

Despite the disappointments I'm really enjoying the tournament so far. Plenty of excitement and surprises.

Great to see a sport that pretty much every country in the world can get involved in.

England is predictable, they have no one left footed apart from the left back, who ever gets into position of midfield or on the wing has to cut in too use their right foot, by that time the whole team is back in defence, then we get blocked out, happened for the whole of the 2nd half against Italy, and pretty much the world cup before that, and the one before that. Personally I think the team should stop completely until we get some left footed players, that won't happen though due to importing players, in the normal seasons, we buy these God's from abroad and get left behind, it's why we have a team of Kids that are limited in what they can do, also the managers are to blame like Arsenal, it's a London team with I think 2 English players, so due to this England are an officially shit team, taken 20 odd years to fall this far, but this World Cup is the nail in the coffin. It shouldn't shock, we couldn't get into the Euro's ha ha!!

I like my sports.

I have played my sports.

The best sport to watch in my opinion is Rugby. Not the crappy one where they dont run mucks, where possesion of the ball is assumed when the man goes down, but REAL Rugby. That shit is hardcore. No wistles every 3 seconds. Dudes in American Football, run 10 seconds and need oxygen and a seat on the bench. Rugby, you are at it for 90 MINUTES SoN!!

I would say in Belgium's case it's the other way around. We've got a lot of players of some importance at some big clubs but this doesn't really translate onto the national team (yet).
We got 6/6 right now, but it was against Algeria and Russia, I think any country would have signed for our group. I'm hoping the Red Devils can unchain themselves from whatever it is that is holding them back somewhere in the next couple of games. Admitted, Algeria and Russia were playing defensive but the pace of the Belgian game was too slow.

Also, on England, I thought they played rather well against Italy. Sturridge and Sterling are great additions to the team, like a breath of fresh air, not the 'typical' English style we were used to, brought some speed into the game. Too bad they lost.
They were weak against Uruguay though.

Couple of others that are on the England squad, that are pretty amazing, but just lack experience, hopefully they will stick with these lads and in 4 years time we may win a match, 8 mins till kick off, the line up is apparently to showcase the young talent  <_<
