Props to Slanteyez for that amazing little joint! Drip, Drip, Drop.

Good luck to everyone!

RULES

1. Outside drums – allowed. Keep it G if you wanna, there's a tasty break included, or use your own.

2. Outside instrumentation – ESSENTIAL.

3. Outside Samples - Yes but you MUST use 1 of the 2 provided samples.

3. No time limit

4. This week’s special rule: you MUST implement some sort of BPM change and/or time signature change. This isn't optional as it should breed dopeness.

Congrats Slanteyez! Thanks for the samples Pete and thank you for allowing outside drums! Dope special rule too. I don't think Maschine 2.0 allows tempo automation so I will have to get creative with the tempo change.

Yeah. I also use Maschine 2.0. Haha, I'm thinking going from 90bpm to 180bpm should work. Right?

Also, Bionic Booger Breaks.

Glad you guys are diggin the samples. A lot of pressure on me when given I didn't win ;)

On the Maschine topic, maybe try a time signature change rather than a bpm one - or make some parts different tempos extract and blend.

Also on the tracklist - Oskarr got 2/4 already - 1st cut on the b-side of Bionic Booger breaks - and some ad-libs from the a-side. Lets see if anyone can guess the 2 main samples, even the artist :) Otherwise I will divulge when voting opens!

Im a maschine user. I'll Probably just make 2 beats along the same theme and sound then export and mix in logic (or any other DAW). Probably better off that way than trying to do the whole thing with maschine

I was thinking that myself, but in essence it's really the same tempo...but that aside, would anyone have any objections to this? I'm for it.

That would only be legit if the time signature changes, i.e. Double time it with a faster paced kit, melody etc. i think the important part to take away is that there HAS to be a change of pace.

... Yoww... Big ups again Slant! .. deserved win...

...Really apreciated all the comments and likes on my entry... wasn't totally happy with how it came out.. think I can do better...

...That's a good thing I guess... actually hearing where it can be improved ... and trying to find a way to make it happen...

...On the tempo rule:  Endresult of the doublespeed would be beats with extreme changes in tempo...

...I guess that's fine... I you guys feel that's the desired effect...

...To me it seems like taking the easy way out...

...I think finding another way to implement this rule with tempos to your liking could be a real learning experience..

..Now alls I gotta do is.. do it myself haha

Had the bpm-change issue with Maschine in a battle last year. Ended up making two beats with different bpm in one project, loaded Maschine (plus the project) as a plugin in Ableton and automated the tempo in Ableton. Maschines tempo followed along. Should work with every DAW.

Nice samples! And congrats to Slanteyez for the win!

I used the last sample and added those laughs!

BPM @ Start: 95

BPM @ 1:00 min: 47

BPM @ 2:43 min: 60 (just a slight change lol)

It was fun making this, I hope you guys enjoy it!

Big up to everyone in this group! You guys really stretch my creativity! :)

Thanks!!!

jnKtion

BTW... I usually try to keep my tracks under 3 min... sorry that I didn't make it shorter :/

So basically anyone with maschine is fucked, and has to work a little more, I think 90bpm to 180 is a total cop out, it's just double time, yeah the tempo changes, not exactly challenging though, I'm hoping to hear some gradual speed ups with time changes.

Think all of us that use maschine should email NI and ask for tempo changes for scenes, it's a joke they haven't done this yet.

Hoping I don't lose my internet connection again halfway through the battles again, so I banned myself for the week, even though directly it weren't my fault.
