Like I said on Quas's MySpace blog.....

"I love quas and I love dunks (as seen on my page) but these shoes are kinda "eh"....I'd buy them anyway just because....c'mon it's quas. But you'd think a Quas shoe would be way more colorful. I think Nike needs to try again. That's just me though. *shrug*"

Now back to you B_C.....

Quas dunk?? Did I see that?

NEVERMIND after the De la lows I don't even wanna see

In all honesty, I haven't bought a sneaker in a good 3 or 4 months which is SHOCKING!! but Nike hasn't moved me.

The last kicks I purchased were those Valentine 97's because I have some sort of wicked fetish for polka dot stuff and hello kitty. I prolly should have got those Footpatrol 90's but I passed.

That's why the 'Ode to Shoes' has been on hiatus (besides the board being down). BUT I encourage to keep it going because it was started circa 02 for shoe whores like myself
'

I guess what I'm saying is I'm passing the torch to those who feel or are more inspired than I am right now (i.e Ern). I will still maintain my duties as CSEO (chief shoe executive officer....I just made that up ) and random poster.

Until then back to you, Skip

nope....the carhartt's are a little darker and the canvas and the midsole is all the same color, but yes they do come in black. and the dqm's were re-released but they can fuck off with that $200 jazz.
Posted Image

they have a pair of white canvas dunks with a gum sole but i think they only made like 100 pairs or something crazy....they may be medicoms but i'm not sure.

Word on the street, Dave had some backstock left from the first release so he just waited until they hyped up and re-released them. Pretty smart yet fucked up. Can't knock the man's hustle ...........

I wouldn't be suprised if you start seeing alot of stuff "re-release" aka Nike pulling some old backstock that they didn't put out during the first release and charge a grip for it. Like I heard the Tiffany SB's (which I wanted strickly for colorway purposes, quality is garbage ) might suddenly "re-release" and some other old goodies might pop back up. Don't be suprise, these kids are willing to pay they will do it for a buck.

I still haven't ID'd yet....

Nike re-releasing sb's and other exclusives is a double edge sword.

PRO: It puts these fags buying like 10 pairs and reselling them on ebay in their places. It's not cool when you buy shoes only to hike the price and resell them.

re-release of:
De La Hi's
Melvins
Boca's
Incredible Hulks
and many others.

CON: It's a slap in the face for diehard collectors like me that call stores and wait patiently....and mark days off on the calendar and call and bug the hell out of the people who work at stores/skateshops like "are they out yet....are they out yet?.....did the shipment come in?" and work hard to get their pair of kicks. Now if people miss one boat...they can catch the next one.

OFF THE SUBJECT....Have you seen the Bling Pack 90s and Dunks?

I'm not looking to even try and fuck with backstock re-issues the prices are ridiculous. It's not so much a reseller issue it's just the demand for anything with an "exclusive" tag has driven prices up. You can't really blame anyone but the consumers as a whole if people would stop hyping stuff up then the prices would fall.

I'll give you a perfect example, the DQM's were first release they were going for MSRP and even lower in some cases. That's because when they were released some other SB had captured everyone's attention, I think the Reagans. So the price of DQM fell because the demand wasn't high you could easily find them and cop for about $80-$100 in some spots lower. No hype. But after the Infared were re-release 90's began to get shine and everyone wanted all the old 90's thus the Bacon's were on everyones grail list causing hype prices were $200+. All DQM did was cash in on the hype he didn't have before, a hustle. HYPE KILLS!!!
